Still catching up on homework, should be able to post a real entry by Thursday night. In the meantime, let this photo grabbed off of Cuteoverload.com boggle your mind...

Whoa
I have a lot to tell y'all about my weekend but I am still working on homework for Wednesday. Unfortunatly, I am brain dead, in the meantime:
- Favorite moments of the conference, Session named "Sheherazade after 9/11: Muslim and Arbic American Writing", "Dream American: Cultural and Intercultural Critiques of the 'American Dream' in Late 20th century U.S. Latina/o Literary and Cultural Productions" and "And the Earth Did Not Swallow Them; Poetry and Prose by Central Valley Chicanas/os, Plenary Speakers Lillian Faderman, and Luis Valdez.
- There are some very talented writers coming out of the MFA program at CSU Fresno. My hats off to them and I kinda wish I lived near there so I could hang out with those cool cats.
-Got to see my family, cousins, grandma, aunts and uncles and met mi primo's novia Tracey. She's pretty cool.
-Finally got to eat at a couple of the restaurants that mi primo Jefferson is always blogging about. Yay me! Food...MmMms
-So glad that I got to spend time with my dad. Nothing like a four hours car ride to cover all those topics that we never get to talk about during the week.
And Dude, the season finale of battleStar Galactica rocked last night!

Hey all
Sometime I wonder if grad school is one big sprint through the semester
or just a contest to see who can function best on coffee and little sleep.
Sorry I have not been writing much lately but I cannot seem to hit my stride. Good news, I got a 10 on last week's group presentation and did well on that paper and on the paper for my Wednesday class.
I'm leaving for Fresno for a conference tomorrow afternoon, so I probably will not write again until Sunday or Monday. Peace out.

FYI
I got the other paper done in time for Wednesday class.
In other news, a local rooster named Super Chicken was birdnapped from the nursery where he lived with his caretaker.
Super Chicken is a local celebrity who likes to eat bugs at the nursery and greet visitors with an avian dance. SC was rescued from an uncertain fate after he was hatched for a class science project and has since been a loyal companion and fully people friendly presence. We are all offering little prayers that Super Chicken is returned home safely. His caretaker says he thinks SC is alive and well somewhere but I fear that a darker fate has met our feathered friend, Souper Chicken.
I'll keep an eye out for a continued story.

Tuesday Morning
It's way too early to be up but its my own damn fault. Good news is I actually finished my paper due at 4 pm a few moments ago - go me. The bad news is, I have one more paper to write tonight for Wednesday 7 pm class. I did it to myself, I can't really complain.
So I got up at 5 this morning, not usual for some but not my cup o' tea...er, not my cup of coffee. It is always a gamble to go to bed with a paper unfinished. The gamble is, will the letters on the screen in front of you start making sense if you stay up all night, will you wake refreshed after a couple hours sleep and be able to string together a coherent sentence or will you wake up groggy as all get out and S.O.L?
Knock on wood, I have woken up coherent and with my paper outlined in my head the two times I have had to finish a paper the morning of. Not a habit I want to get into but good to know that I am capable of doing it. Ah Graduate school...How many more years did I sign up for?
